Wheelbase Troubleshooting

Updated on May 30, 2024

Manual Update of Wheelbase

If you are experiencing any issues with your wheelbase, it is always a good start to do a manual firmware update. This guide will help you manually updating your wheelbase, to make sure it has the latest version.

Prerequisites:

You must have installed the latest version of RaceHub™, to ensure the latest drivers are installed.

  1. Turn off the wheelbase.
  2. Make sure the USB cable is connected to the PC.
  3. Open RaceHub™, if not already running.
  4. Click and hold down the power button until the power button starts blinking (if you have a torque off button, it will start blinking as well).
  5. A dialog will pop up in RaceHub™ informing you that a wheelbase has been detected in update mode.
  6. Press “Update Wheelbase”.
  7. Wait for the update to finish.

The wheelbase now has the latest firmware version, and the automatic update notification should now work for future updates.

Wheelbase Disconnections

If you have been experiencing equipment disconnects, please try the following to solve the issue.

  1. Check if the motherboard BIOS and driver are up to date.
  2. Remove power saving from all USB ports in Windows.
  3. Connect the wheelbase USB directly to the PC and not through a USB hub or via extension cables.
  4. Remove USB devices on the Wheelbase USB hub.
  5. Try another USB cable from the wheelbase to the PC (max 2 meters in length)
  6. Try another USB port on the PC, preferably a USB 2.0 port.

Wheelbase Not Detected by PC/RaceHub

If your wheelbase is not detected by your PC/RaceHub, please try the following to solve the issue.

  1. Make sure the USB cable is correctly inserted to both the wheelbase and PC (On the wheelbase, a small “click” will be heard and felt when the connector is correctly inserted).
  2. Connect the wheelbase USB directly to the PC and not through a USB hub or via extension cables.
  3. Remove USB devices on the Wheelbase USB hub.
  4. Try another USB cable from the wheelbase to the PC (max 2 meters in length)
  5. Try another USB port on the PC, preferably a USB 2.0 port.

“Are My LEDs Acting Up?

With RaceHub 3.0 we released some new LED features, that, if not known about, can be confusing. Therefore we recommend watching our video regarding these LED features.

Find the video here.

High Torque Mode Can’t Be Enabled/”Torque Disabled” error

If the “High Torque” mode can’t be turned on in RaceHub or if you have the “Torque Disabled” error message, it can be because the torque button is not connected correctly to the wheelbase. Make sure it is connected correctly, with a small “click” when inserted into the connector on the wheelbase.

My wheelbase don’t register in game

  1. Check if input is registered in RaceHub.
  2. Make sure the game is properly set up in the “Game Setup” menu in “Settings” in RaceHub.
  3. Look if a “Game setup” guide is available HERE:
