(Updated for RaceHub 4.0)
Are you ready for one of the biggest racing launches of the year?
F1 24 is the newest installment of the series, and weāve been working on giving you some great wheelbase settings. As always, remember that our settings work well as a starting point, but you should always tweak them to fit your preferences.Ā
This setup has been created to suit all three of our wheelbases. However, we will provide specific settings for specific wheelbases in certain cases.Ā
Firstly, weāll dive into the RaceHub settings:Ā
Steering range: 400Ā° (this has been bumped up a bit from F1 23)Ā
Bumpstop Hardness: Ā SoftĀ
Bumpstop Range: 5Ā°Ā
High-Frequency Limit: 3300 HzĀ
Damping: 7%Ā
Friction: 4%Ā
Inertia: 0%Ā
Cornering Force Assist: 0%Ā
Overall Force (Forte and Invicta Wheelbase): 16 NmĀ
La Prima: 12 NmāÆ. (The La Prima Wheelbase is slightly less powerful than the others, so weāve turned it to its maximum. This setting is very much up to personal preference, so make sure to finetune it to your liking.)Ā Ā
Torque Behavior Prediction: 0Ā
Torque Acceleration Limit: Max (That is 9.4 Nm/ms on the āÆInvicta wheelbase,āÆ6.7 Nm/ms on theāÆForte wheelbase, and 4.0 Nm/ms on theāÆLa Prima wheelbase.)
Anti-Oscillation: 10%Ā
Now youāre all set in RaceHub.Ā
Letās look at the in-game settings in F1 24. Ā
Vibration & Force Feedback: OnĀ
Vibration & Force Feedback Strength: 45% (Once again, very much up to personal preference.)āÆ
On Track Effects: 10% (You might want to increase this slightly for more immersion. 10% adds some immersion without being distracting.)Ā
Rumble Strip Effects: 30%. (Rumble strips refer to curbs, and the level of vibration felt through the wheel. We will aim to balance immersion and distraction, with 30% as a good starting point.)Ā
Off Track Effects: 0% (This setting affects all off-track surfaces (gravel, grass, etc.). If youāre only focusing on being competitive and donāt care for immersion, consider turning this setting all the way off. If you prefer a more immersive experience, consider increasing this setting.)
Wheel Damper: 0% (This will dampen the feel of the force feedback. It isnāt needed with these settings, so weāll set it to 0%.)Ā
Maximum Wheel Rotation (F1 & F2): 400Ā° (Some Esport racers drive with less wheel rotation. This will increase responsiveness but will decrease precision.)Ā
Now, youāve got a great baseline setup. As always, remember to tweak it to fit your driving style.Ā
