If you are experiencing any issues with your pedals, it is always a good start to do a manual firmware update. This guide will help you manually updating your pedals, to make sure they has the latest version.
You must have installed the latest version of RaceHub™, to ensure the latest drivers are installed.
The pedals now have the latest firmware version, and the automatic update notification should now work for future updates.
The “Failed to update the device because the device wasn’t detected in update mode” error can be caused by several things.
Most commonly, the issue is caused by the current firmware on the pedals being too old. To solve the issue caused by too old firmware, follow these steps.
Now, your pedals are updated to the latest firmware. We recommend that you always keep your Asetek gear updated to the latest firmware release. RaceHub will automatically let you know when new firmware has been released.
If the above mentioned solution does not resolve the issue, the issue most likely stems from a clash between Asetek’s drivers and other third-party drivers. From what we’ve seen, the offending driver is usually a Guillemot DFU driver (also used for Trustmaster equipment). This driver will have to be removed for RaceHub™ to update your pedals. The Guillemot driver may be needed for users with Thrustmaster equipment, so you may have to re-install the driver afterwards by re-installing the appropriate Thrustmaster device drivers. If this guide is successful for you, your pedals will no longer be affected by the Guillemot driver, so there should be no issues with updating afterwards, if you re-install the Guillemot driver.
Check if the different LEDs on the pedals’ print are turned on – located behind the transparent plastic cover where you connect the USB cable.
If your throttle or clutch does not give any signal when pressed, it can be due to a damaged magnet holder on the right side of the pedal arm. Spare magnet holders can be ordered from here.
The Asetek SimSports® Invicta™ Pedals are not compatible with connection to third party wheel bases. Instead, plug the cable into your PC.
Asetek SimSports® Pedals are not compatible with consoles.
The movement of the brake cylinder is intended and perfectly normal. The brake cylinder must be able to move, as there can be different tolerances depending on the angle of the pedal. The bottom bearing is a spherical bearing that can move in both directions.
Typically you need to lubricate the following:
We recommend using PFTE dry spray lubrication for the throttle when squeaks occur.
Please also be aware that the plastic spring holder can be flipped and this will also make a squeak.
If none of the above-listed solutions helps, then please contact our support team, who will help you out.
