Asetek announced today that it has been named a Finalist in the “New Product or Service of the Year-Hardware-Computer” category in The 2013 American Business Awards, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie® Award winner in the program.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

The American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: the ABA’s traditional banquet on Monday, June 17 – in Chicago for the first time, after 10 years in New York; and the new product & technology awards event on Monday, September 16 in San Francisco.

Asetek is nominated for its RackCDU™ hot water liquid cooling for data centers. RackCDU is a hot water, direct-to-chip, data center liquid cooling system that enables cooling energy savings up to 80% and density increases of 2.5x when compared to modern air cooled data centers. RackCDU removes heat from CPUs, GPUs, memory modules and other hot spots within servers and takes it all the way out of the data center using liquid, where it can be cooled for free using outside ambient air, or recycled for building heat or hot-water.
