The Europartenariat 2000 is an international event for small and mediumsized enterprises from 80 countries. It will take place on June 8th and 9th 2000 in the fourth largest city of Denmark: Aalborg. It will be a couple of active days with intensive meeting activity, which will result in numerous new tradeagreements, a strengthening of co-operation between small and medium-sized enterprises across national borders – for the benefit of the individual country´s development, growth and employment.

The European Commission launched the Europartenariats in 1988, and in Denmark the Ministry of Trade, and Industry and local business promotional organisations are backing the initiative.The European Commission provides two thirds of the funding required for staging the Europartenariat, while the remaining funds are raised by the host region. Host companies pay a small fee, while visiting firms attend the events free of chargeThe Europartenariat is supervised jointly by the Directorate General for Regional Policy (DG XVI) and the Directorate General for Enterprise Policy (DG XXIII).
