Groundbreaking for New Headquarters in Denmark
January 18th, 2022, now marks a special date in Asetek’s history.
On this day, CEO André Sloth Eriksen had the pleasure of hosting the Mayor of Aalborg, Thomas Kastrup-Larsen, as well as representatives from TL Byg, COWI and Arkitema to the groundbreaking ceremony of Asetek’s future headquarters.
The headquarters will be located at Skjoldet 20, 9230 Svenstrup, and the construction of the buildings is expected to be finished by summer 2024.
During the last couple of years, Asetek has seen significant growth. Liquid cooling performance in the gamers and enthusiasts segment has intensified, along with an upscaling of SimSports activities.
At the groundbreaking ceremony André Sloth Eriksen, CEO and founder of Asetek, expressed his excitement for the new headquarters:
“We are on a long journey at Asetek. We have had strong growth for years, and our new headquarters reflect that. We need great facilities and placement to keep attracting the best talent. The new headquarters will give us that as well as giving Aalborg a new landmark to the south!”
The construction is a necessary expansion that will not only shelter the Danish employees. It will also be a beacon of product development facilities for liquid cooling and SimSports, including state-of-art engineering labs and testing spaces.
Beyond this, the new headquarters will also feature:
- Bold inspiration from industrial and Danish design with a focus on style, simplicity, and quality
- Atrium courtyard, showroom, lounge areas, and a gaming/esports area featuring Asetek’s products and technical innovations
- Strategic placement near the highway south of Aalborg to allow easier attraction of talent
Since it was founded more than 20 years ago, Asetek has grown in revenue, customers, and partners worldwide. This will be the fourth time Asetek outgrows its current facilities, and the new headquarters will house Asetek’s main development and business operations for years to come.
Who knows what innovation the next 20 years will bring?
