RackCDU is One Out of Only Four Finalists in the Future Thinking & Design Concepts Category

Asetek RackCDU™: Hot Water Liquid Cooling for Data CentersDatacenterDynamics Awards EMEA 2012 FinalistAsetek® Inc., the world’s leading supplier of liquid cooling solutions for computers, announced today that its RackCDU technology is a finalist in the Future Thinking & Design Concepts category of the 2012 DatacenterDynamics EMEA Awards. RackCDU is one out of only four finalists chosen from of a record number of entries for the 2012 Awards. RackCDU is Asetek’s innovative hot water, direct-to-chip, data center liquid cooling technology which removes up to 80% of the heat from servers with an all liquid path and rejects in into ambient outdoor air without chilling. This enables cooling cost reductions in excess of 50%, density increases of 2.5x and recovery of all the server energy removed by RackCDU for campus heating and cooling.

DatacenterDynamics knows that behind every definitive product and solution there is a great idea. The Future Thinking & Design Concepts award recognizes the innovation and thinking that is shaping the next generation of cutting edge data center solutions.

"The DatacenterDynamics EMEA Awards form part of the Global Awards Programme which recognises innovation and leadership across the data center industry,” said George Rockett, chief strategy officer at DatacenterDynamics. “The judging process, conducted by industry experts from across the sector, will continue between now and the Gala ceremony on December 13th which will see this year's people and projects join previous winners as the recognised leaders in the data center industry. Built up over the last six years the DatacenterDynamics Awards are the most sought after in the industry."

“Asetek is proud to be among the finalists for this prestigious award,” said André Sloth Eriksen, Founder and CEO of Asetek. “Innovation is woven into our DNA at Asetek and it is a key component of the value we deliver to our customers and stakeholders.”

DatacenterDynamics Global Awards Program is made up of separate awards which celebrate the people, companies and developments in markets including EMEA, North America, LATAM, Brazil, China and South East Asia. The final awards will be presented at the 6th Annual DatacenterDynamics EMEA Awards ceremony on December 13th at the Lancaster London Hotel.
